Focaccia Pizza with Pepperoni and Prosciutto

Posted by Manjeri Skincare Team on

Benefits:
Focaccia made with olive oil provides nourishing fats that support skin softness and nutrient absorption, while tomato sauce delivers lycopene to help protect against oxidative stress. Prosciutto supplies protein and amino acids that support skin structure, pepperoni adds satiating fats for steady energy, and herbs help encourage healthy circulation for a more vibrant-looking glow.

Skin Concern: Reduced circulation contributing to lackluster skin tone

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 prepared focaccia bread (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 10–12 slices pepperoni

  • 4–6 thin slices prosciutto

  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

  • Fresh basil leaves, optional

  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Place the focaccia on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the focaccia, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then layer with pepperoni and prosciutto. Finish with oregano and black pepper.

Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil if desired, slice, and serve warm.

Shopping Tips:

  • Focaccia: Choose focaccia made with olive oil rather than seed oils for better skin-supportive fats.

  • Prosciutto: Look for high-quality prosciutto with minimal ingredients and no added sugars.

  • Tomato Sauce: Use a low-sugar tomato sauce to keep the pizza balanced.

Cooking Tips:

  • Add prosciutto halfway through baking if you prefer it softer rather than crisp.

  • Drizzle with olive oil after baking for extra richness and shine.

  • Serve with a simple arugula salad to add freshness and balance.

This focaccia pizza is a cozy, indulgent meal that still supports circulation and glow, making it perfect for relaxed dinners that feel satisfying without being heavy.
