Garlic Lemon Broccolini with Almonds

Posted by Manjeri Skincare Team on

Benefits: Broccolini is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants that help brighten the skin and support collagen production, while garlic provides detoxifying compounds that help promote clearer skin from within. Almonds add vitamin E and healthy fats that strengthen the skin barrier and help maintain hydration for a smooth, even complexion.

Skin Concern: Hyperpigmentation

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups broccolini

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccolini for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender, then drain.

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

  • Add the broccolini and toss well, allowing it to sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.

  • Stir in lemon juice, salt, and pepper, then top with toasted almonds before serving.

Shopping Tips:

  • Choose broccolini with firm stems and vibrant green florets

  • Fresh garlic should be firm and free from sprouting

  • Use raw, unsalted almonds for better control of flavor

Cooking Tips:

  • Do not overcook broccolini to preserve nutrients

  • Toast almonds separately for deeper flavor

  • Add lemon zest for extra brightness

This is a clean, nutrient-dense dish that supports brighter, more even-looking skin while keeping your meals light and flavorful.
