Benefits: This light yet indulgent crab salad cannoli delivers a balance of protein, healthy fats, and antioxidants that support skin repair and hydration. Crab is rich in zinc and protein to help boost collagen production and maintain skin structure, while the creamy filling provides fats that support moisture retention. Fresh herbs and citrus add antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental stress, leaving your complexion looking refreshed and balanced.

Skin Concern: Skin repair and hydration

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

For the Cannoli Shells:

  • 8 small flour tortillas or wonton wrappers

  • Oil for frying or brushing

For the Crab Salad Filling:

  • 1 cup lump crab meat

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

  • 1 tbsp celery, finely diced

  • ¼ tsp sea salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For Garnish:

  • Fresh herbs (chives or parsley)

  • Lemon zest

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Shells: If using tortillas, wrap them around cannoli molds and secure. Lightly brush with oil or fry until golden and crisp. If using wonton wrappers, shape and fry until crispy. Let cool completely before filling.

  • Make the Crab Salad: In a bowl, gently combine crab meat, mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, chives, celery, salt, and pepper until creamy but still slightly chunky.

  • Fill the Cannoli: Spoon or pipe the crab salad mixture into the cooled shells just before serving.

  • Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh herbs and lemon zest for brightness and serve immediately.

Shopping Tips:

  • Choose high-quality lump crab meat for the best texture and flavor

  • Look for fresh herbs for added brightness and nutrients

  • Use a good-quality mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for a cleaner, balanced filling

Cooking Tips:

  • Do not overfill the shells to prevent breakage

  • Fill just before serving to keep the shells crisp

  • Add extra lemon juice if you prefer a brighter, fresher flavor
