Manjeri Skincare Turns 3: What Have We Built and What’s Next?

On April 10, 2023, Manjeri Skincare launched with a clear intention. Not to follow trends. Not to blend into the crowded beauty space. But to redefine how we care for the body.

Three years later, that intention has turned into something real.

This is not just a birthday. It is a marker of growth, resilience, and proof that a different approach to body care resonates.

So what have we built over the last three years, and where are we going next?

What Was the Vision From Day One?

Manjeri Skincare was built on something deeply personal.

Named after my maternal grandmother, Manjeri, whose skin remained radiant and glowing well into her later years, this brand is rooted in legacy. Her approach was never complicated. It was consistent, intentional, and rooted in ritual.

That philosophy became the foundation.

From the beginning, I wasn’t interested in creating products for the sake of it. I wanted to build a brand that educates. A brand that introduces people to global body care rituals that have been practiced for generations but rarely talked about in modern beauty.

Because glowing skin is not accidental. It is practiced.

What Have We Built in 3 Years?

The last three years have been about more than just launching products. They’ve been about building a category within body care that feels intentional, elevated, and culturally rooted.

From launching direct-to-consumer in April 2023 to expanding into online marketplaces like Amazon and Beauty Bridge just months later, the growth has been fast, but always deliberate.

By the end of our first year, we secured retail placements in New York and Paris with Flying Solo. Shortly after, Manjeri Skincare was featured in British Vogue’s Fearless Fashion issue. And in September 2024, we took things even further with our first billboard in Times Square. In 2025, we took over Los Angeles with the launch of our latest retail placement at Wolf & Badger LA.

Not bad for a brand that started with limited capital and a single founder.

Behind the scenes, every decision has been about building a strong foundation. From leveraging Shopify to create a personalized customer experience, to implementing loyalty and affiliate programs, to using AI to streamline operations, this brand has been built with both intention and efficiency.

But more importantly, we’ve built a community.

A growing number of people who are rethinking how they care for their skin. People who are no longer satisfied with surface-level solutions and are leaning into ritual, consistency, and results.

Why Body Care, and Why Now?

For too long, body care has been treated as secondary. An afterthought compared to facial skincare.

We’ve challenged that.

Manjeri Skincare exists in a space that is still largely untapped. A space where exfoliation is not occasional, but essential. Where tools like loofahs, body mitts, and brushes are not accessories, but part of a system.

And where global practices like Hammam and traditional exfoliation methods are brought into modern routines.

This is where we’ve carved out our lane.

And the response has made one thing clear. People are ready for more.

Our Commitment to Sustainability Is Getting Stronger

From the beginning, we’ve been transparent about where we are and where we want to go.

Our packaging currently uses plastic and cardboard. That is the reality. But we have never positioned that as the end state.

Over the last three years, we’ve actively worked toward reducing our environmental impact. Through our partnership with CleanHub, we’ve already contributed to the removal of over 6,000 kilograms of waste through the Teka Pasa project in Tanzania.

But this is just the start.

Sustainability for us is not a marketing angle. It is a long-term commitment. One that will continue to evolve as we explore better materials, reduce excess packaging, and build more responsible systems into the business.

The goal is simple. Less waste. More intention.

What’s Coming Next?

This next chapter is where things get interesting.

We are entering a new phase of Manjeri Skincare. One that goes beyond products and into deeper experiences.

There are new product launches on the way. Thoughtfully developed, aligned with our philosophy, and designed to elevate your routine even further.

There is also a stronger focus on education. Expanding on body care rituals from around the world and making them accessible in a way that feels modern, simple, and effective.

And we’re continuing to build tools and experiences that allow you to bring the spa home.

If you’ve been with us since the beginning, you already know. We don’t release anything halfway.
